A WHISKY LOVERS PARIDISE!
Whisky has always played a huge part in our heritage here on Islay – and our bar showcases this! There are generations of Islay and Jura Single malts stocked on our bar with around 1,800 different Islay and Jura Single Malts…Yes, i said 1,800! The Whisky Bar/Lounge is in the heart of the hotel situated in the middle of the hotel between the Hotel Bar and Dining Room and many visitors to the island use this as their base during their visit to Islay spending most evenings here with Peter Jnr (our very own in house whisky connoisseur!)
We also provide in house whisky tastings with Peter Jnr which can be booked in advance! These can be anytime between 12 noon – 1600 or in the evening around 2100 – 2130 after dinner service! Peter Jnr is the son of the owners Peter and Linda so for him this is more then just a job, its his way of life as his passion! He has worked in the Hotel for over 20 years and has gradually been building the whisky collection over the years! His love and passion for whisky is what makes people come back again and he is always willing to share a story with his guests making many friends along the way!
