Peter and Linda have owned Bowmore Hotel since 1984 and it has continued to be a family run business over the years, now alongside with their son Peter Jnr! We have a wonderful team here, some which have been here since Peter and Linda bought the hotel, which is over 40 years ago! The team have all become a huge part in making this hotel as successful as it is now! Come pop in and say Hello!

The hotel has been renovated to bring back some of it’s most beautiful qualities! The whole hotel has been fully furnished with hand crafted wooden designs by Paul Hodgkiss and colours inspired by the islands beauty! His hard-work definitely paid off as the woodwork gets so many compliments – and no wonder, it is beautiful!

Our new decking area is an ideal spot to relax with a dram in hand and enjoy the Scottish sunsets over Lochindaal! No matter the season, the Islay sunsets do not disappoint! There is also an undercover area with an outdoor TV and outdoor heaters and to keep you warm on the more chilly evenings!

Whisky has always played a huge part in Islay's heritage, and it has become a huge thing in our hotel! Luccis Whisky Bar has a collection which holds over 1800 different exclusive Islay and Jura Single Malts dating back generations ago.
